The diary so far

Thursday
: Landed; Took 11 bags from Hotel to Apartment; Shopped in Ikea (for delivery Sunday); Caught the Shinkansen back to the Hotel
Friday
: Suzy had a rest day, and was having a massage through her first Japanese eathquake (only a 3.5 Richter here); Roger went to work in the afternoon; Took bags from office to Apartment; Ordered Fridge/freezer & Washing machine (for delivery Tuesday)
Saturday
: Bought - electric screwdriver (to assemble furniture!), soldering iron and some power leads.; Bought - vacuum cleaner, kettle, steam iron, hair drier, heated rollers, water jug.; Took remaining bags from office to appartment
Sunday
: Checked out of the hotel, and took remaining stuff to apartment; Waited for Gas man then Ikea. (Both came in their pre-booked 3 hour time slot).; Built up sofa-bed, coffee table, kitchen table and chairs; Fitted light fixtures; Spent our first night in the apartment
Monday
: Roger eventually got out of bed and went to work, got back late.
Tuesday
: Washing machine and fridge arrived.; Nearly finished building the rest of the Ikea stuff.; Colapsed the cardboard boxes down into a (big) pile in the kitchen.; Roger went to work in the afternoon, got back really late
Wednesday
: Roger got out of bed and went to work, got back late; Suzy went shopping with the owner and found a really good hardware store.
Thursday
: Roger eventually got out of bed and went to work, got back late; Suzy went back to the hardware store and got a few more bits.
Friday
: Suzy - Looked at pushbikes.; In the evening we ordered an Air-con and oven
Saturday
: Oven arrived; Went to Akihabara and bought a kit-form media PC; Took a walk around Todoroki, trying to work out what useful shops are where
Sunday
: Second Air-con installed (hooray)
Monday
: Roger - Went to work; Suzy - More Ikea building
Tuesday
: Our shipment from the UK arrived
Wednesday
: Sorting out stuff from shipment
Thursday
: Still sorting out stuff from shipment
Friday
: Sorted out broadband, will arrive next week; We went out for a meal with Roger's work in the evening (where we had another earthquake).
Saturday
: Went to Ikea; Collected TV from work
Sunday
: Went out with Ozakazi-san and his Wife, including a tour of what's what in the supermarket
